I have created some minimalist, digital landscapes inspired by the Scottish landscape which are available to buy in various forms. Click on the images for further information.

Image of cairngorm views

Digital work based on an earlier acrylic painting I did inspired by one of the many gorgeous views from Cairngorm mountain in the Scottish Highlands. I’ve stripped the original scene down to its bare elements to give a bold, pop art feel. Buy

Image of lochside views

This bright and bold abstract design is loosely based on the scenery at Loch Morlich in Scotland. It is one of my favourite locations in Scotland. Buy

Image of digital art

This is based on an acrylic painting I did inspired by Glenshee, Scotland. The original painting was abstract and this is even more abstract. I like experimenting with my artwork and seeing how they can evolve in transformative work like this. Buy

Image of westcoast views

I returned from a painting trip to Skye this week and this comes straight from a sketch I did while there. It comes from a coastal walk I took on the north western part of the island looking towards the Torridon mountains on the West coast of the Scottish mainland. Buy

Image of lochleven views

This design is inspired by my trips to Kinlochleven in the Western highlands of Scotland. The differing shades of blue of mountains always capture my attention. The fact they can be, like in this design, different shades of blue one minute, and then only a few minutes later be transformed from seemingly flat shapes rising from the horizon to clearly 3D forms with a variety of landscape colours amazes me. As usual in my digital designs, I strip back the landscape to minimalist, abstract, geometric elements for a bold and bright finish. Buy
